Durham College had a small marketing team in China to cover the entire region through limited resources. As part of the Durham College marketing campaign, Plus Lingo took on the social media networks and BBS forums, to engage with high-school and university students in China seeking to study abroad in Canada. The online social community opened up a door for Durham College to interact in real-time with the targeted audiences located across the nation. This also created the opportunity to build up awareness of the institution amongst these young targets.
Plus Lingo dedicated a number of staffs to develop strategies for the social media marketing and act as representatives of Durham College to feedback responses on a daily-basis to the students’ inquiries with course selections and online application.
